Aggreko to power the 2010 Asian Games

Aggreko, the global leader in the
provision of temporary power and temperature control, is pleased to
announce that it has signed contracts to provide temporary power
generation services for the 2010 Asian Games and Asian Para Games. Both events
will be staged in Guangzhou, China, with the Asian Games taking
place from 12th - 27th November and the Para
Games taking place from 12th - 19th
December.
Aggreko will be providing around 65
megawatts of power generation and associated distribution to serve
the needs of the 16 stadia and the International Broadcast
Centre. It will also be providing power to support the
opening and closing ceremonies. Aggreko will provide all
aspects of the power packages, including design, mobilisation,
installation, operation and maintenance. The estimated value of the
contracts is US$30 million.

Beijing Olympics, as well as other major sporting events such as
the Football, Rugby and Cricket World Cups.
